IMMERSION EXPERIENCE

High schoolers from Portland and Central Oregon participate in year-round programming, including after-school and weekend workshops, 
two Weekend Intensives, and a nine- to 10-day overnight summer program. Learners immerse themselves in creative practice through unique projects supported by a professional mentor.

Caldera juniors and seniors are invited annually to apply for our High School Apprentice program, which employs 10 learners during the school year. Apprentices work with Caldera and community partners to develop work that uses creativity to solve real-world issues and are guided by professional artists and mentors while building professional skills. Past projects have included designing a mural for a local housing development and building creative website content for a nonprofit.
